MLK Day of Service at Washington Park

Please join the The Conservancy at Historic Washington Park, the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership, and Park Pride for a day of service in honor of Martin Luther King Day and the 100th Anniversary of Washington Park! Projects for volunteers include planting blueberries in an edible garden, clearing invasive plants to improve safety and ecosystem health, cleaning up litter throughout the park, and mulching trees.
 
Where to Go: We will gather in front of the Washington Park Natatorium at 102 Ollie Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30314. Free parking is available in the natatorium lot, as well as along Michigan Ave., which runs through the park.
 
Please consider carpooling, walking, biking, or taking MARTA (Ashby Transit Station is nearby). If driving a personal vehicle, please leave valuables at home or out of sight.
 
What to Wear: Comfortable, durable clothing that can get dirty (long sleeves and pants), sturdy, closed-toe shoes (like tennis shoes or hiking boots)
 
What to Bring: A refillable water bottle, snacks if desired
 
We Will Provide: Tools, work gloves, project guidance
