Lantern Parade Workshop – Globe Lanterns
This event has passed.
This lantern workshop is hosted by Chantelle Rytter and the Krewe of the Grateful Gluttons for the Atlanta BeltLine Lantern Parade on September 22, 2018! The lantern parade is a creative community collaboration, and your participation is what makes the magic! Read more about the Lantern Parade here.
In this workshop, we will be tricking out white paper parasols with colored paper, glue, markers, and string lights. The cool thing about a parasol is that it can fold up and go in a bag – after it dries! Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. It is best for kids who have mastered scissors, approximately 7 and up. All materials, light, and batteries included. Tickets can be purchased here and cover the creation of one parasol. Tickets help fund the parade and are non-refundable. Please do your best to be on time to enjoy the introduction.
Take a look at the Lantern Workshop Gallery and get some ideas!
The Atlanta BeltLine Center can be accessed directly off the Eastside Trail just south of Irwin St. If you’re driving to the Center, limited free parking is available at Stoveworks and at the Alexan on Krog. Paid parking is available at the gravel lot at the corner of Irwin and Krog Streets. Street parking is also available on Auburn Ave. near Studioplex.
