Hollow Bones

Hollow Bones explores periods of transition that center around seeking home. Awakening in a strange world where the performers are the aliens, they encounter pivotal moments where in order to embrace change they must let go of the familiar parts of themselves and their prior life.

A statue installation comes to life, Hollow Bones, performed by Bautanzt Here, is designed to engage members of the community from a range of ages and backgrounds, by incorporating elements of the environment, choreography infused with playfulness, and visually-striking abstract sculptures. Covered in cracked clay, 3 performers begin wrapped around the main sculpture, the “skirt.” Over the course of the piece, the performers explore the unusual sculptures and environment, ultimately creating wings in a final transformation.
