Atlanta BeltLine Awareness Day: June 2019

June 21, 2019 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Are you concerned with safety and etiquette on the Atlanta BeltLine? We are seeking volunteers to join us on the Eastside Trail as we host our first Awareness Day along with the City of Atlanta and the Atlanta Police Department! Volunteers will wear #BeltLineCharm t-shirts and hold etiquette signs with fun, simple reminders encouraging positive behavior on the trail. The event will take place from 4-6 p.m. at Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark along the Eastside Trail. Meet at the pop-up tent under Freedom Parkway.

Representatives and staff will be present to answer questions and provide information on the new strategies underway to increase safety and decrease reckless actions along the multi-use trails. The Awareness Day is a component of #BeltLineCharm, an etiquette campaign that is a playful take on southern hospitality, emphasizing courtesy towards others.

Anyone who is interested in safety and etiquette on the Atlanta BeltLine in encouraged to attend. Media is also encouraged to attend. Please register to volunteer. This will be one of several Awareness Days, so please stay tuned for future dates.

Our city has been through a lot recently, and at Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. (ABI) and Atlanta BeltLine Partnership (ABP), the health and safety of our trail users, neighbors, volunteers and staff is our top priority. Please continue to adhere to all CDC guidelines regarding social distancing, hygiene and wearing face coverings to help curb the spread of COVID-19. Also, please practice kindness; our community has experienced a lot but WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER.
