Events on paved BeltLine trails and parks require a permit from the City of Atlanta. There are a variety of permits available through the City of Atlanta that are applicable for using BeltLine paved trails and parks:

Assembly Permit

For events such as parades, marches, races, or rallies with any of the following elements:

  • More than 54 people
  • Travels for greater than two blocks
  • Moving portion lasts for greater than one hour

Large Gathering in a Park Permit

Meet the following criteria:

  • In a park for gatherings with 75-250 people
  • Last one hour or longe
  • Do not meet the definition of either an assembly or an outdoor festival.

For events with any number of attendees with any of the following elements:

  • Amusements
  • Vending of food or merchandise
  • Distribution or sale of Alcohol
  • Stages, tents or other temporary structures
  • Commercial Advertising or Product Sampling
