The World Cup™ may be over, but there are still plenty of sports to watch around Atlanta. Fall is jam-packed with the return of football, playoff baseball, and more, and the crisp weather just makes being on the trail even more enjoyable.
When you’re looking for a spot to catch the big game with friends, cheer on your favorite team or enjoy a cold drink while taking in some action, these Beltline-adjacent destinations have you covered.
Black Bear Tavern: Chicago fans, this one’s for you. This friendly bar near the Northside Trail is an official viewing headquarters for Chicago teams, with TVs showing MLB, NFL and Premier League action alongside Italian beef and Chicago-style hot dogs, burgers, and wings.
SweetWater Brewing Company: Make a game-day stop at this Atlanta staple for local beer and a laid-back atmosphere. It’s a natural place to grab a pint and take in the action, with watch parties often hosted by Atlanta United on-site.
Smith’s Olde Bar: A go to for Alabama fans just off the Northeast Trail, Smith’s combines live music with a classic neighborhood-bar feel. The menu is made for casual game watching, with wings, nachos, tenders, burgers, sandwiches and other shareable bites.
The Nook on Piedmont Park: Located near Piedmont Park, The Nook is a longtime favorite for sports, drinks and comfort food. The menu includes burgers, sandwiches, wings, loaded tots and other game-day-friendly favorites.
Park Tavern: Located at 10th Street and Monroe Drive, Park Tavern brings big-game energy right to the Beltline. More than 25 TVs span the indoor bar and outdoor patio, with multiple sports playing at once, and the venue adds a large projection screen during big games where you might just be face to face with fans from other teams.
Manuel's Tavern: Not just a historical neighborhood tavern, Manuel's is also Atlanta's home for F1. They open early on Sundays and do watch parties for all races.
LikeMinds: Having already impressed trail visitors during the World Cup™, this pop-up continues to be a great place to watch sports through the end of the year. Their recently revamped weekend brunch is perfect for college or NFL fans with an earlier game slot.
McCray’s: With plenty of screens and a lively atmosphere, McCray's is a great option for sports fans where you can enjoy American pub fare and settle in for the big game on the Eastside Beltline. Too packed? Catch games, matches, and major tournaments on Chringa's neighboring outdoor big screen while enjoying fresh coastal bites, margaritas, mojitos, and cold draft beers.
The Beverly: Located off the Southeast Trail in Glenwood Park, The Beverly brings a little more personality to game day with multiple TVs, an energetic but welcoming atmosphere, and an American-Caribbean menu that includes favorites such as jerk chicken egg rolls and Rasta pasta.
Mellow Mushroom: This classic pizza spot now has a location right on the completed Southside Trail! Expect their colorful vibes and classic menu with burgers, sandwiches, salads and munchies, and a patio perfect for game and people watching.
Terminal South: Just steps from the new trail, Terminal South is a great option when everyone in your group wants something different. Switchman Hall boasts locally owned restaurants, retail, and an outdoor family-friendly area with TVs.
El Tesoro: This Southwest Trail treasure, popular for watching soccer, features a massive 20-foot video wall, authentic Mexican street food, and craft margaritas.
The Painted Duck: For a game-day experience that goes beyond viewing, head to Painted Duck off the Westside Trail for duckpin bowling, games, drinks, and food. It’s a lively option when your group wants to mix sports watching with a little friendly competition of its own.
Dr. Scofflaw’s at The Works: The brewery’s taproom is perfect for beer lovers exploring the Northwest Trail and Upper Westside. It’s also home to Atlanta’s FSU alumni group’s official watch parties. Grab a Scofflaw beer and settle in for a casual game-day hangout.
Firemaker Brewing Company: With multiple TVs throughout the space, Firemaker is another solid stop for sports fans looking for a brewery atmosphere. Find a spot on the covered patio or in the beer garden and pair your drink with Scoville Hot Chicken.
Monday Night Brewing – The Grove: Located on the Northwest Trail, the Grove is built for outdoor game watching. Its 20-foot LED screen anchors more than 17,000 square feet of outdoor space with fire pits, communal tables, and covered seating, with 30 beers on tap and pizza, wings, and sandwiches.
