SEPTEMBER 15, 2025

Calling all community members with rich imaginations and a child-like spirit. Mark your calendars – October 4 at the Historic Fourth Ward Park—for an enchanting evening at Where the Weird Things Are.

Hosted by Chantelle Rytter and the Krewe of the Grateful Gluttons, this "upside down parade” invites you to stroll around the pond and through the stationary parade of mystical creatures to the beats of the Black Sheep Ensemble and Klimchak – Theremin and Other Oddities. Or, if you so desire, attend a free workshop to create a Weird Thing of your own and join the upside-down parade with us.

Bring your friends, pack a picnic and have a seat at the amphitheater to catch the entire experience, but most importantly, bring your imagination and your sense of wonder.

Where the Weird Things Are is made possible through the generous support of the Power for Good Foundation and Jill and Ben Klang.
