Tax assessments for 2021 for Fulton County property owners are scheduled to be mailed out sometime this month. The actual mailing date triggers a 45-day window of time during which you have the right to appeal your assessment. If you feel your 2021 assessment is wrong or unfair and wish to appeal, you must file the appeal no later than 45 days after your assessment was mailed to you.
The Atlanta BeltLine Partnership, Atlanta Legal Aid Society, and Grove Park Foundation are partnering to help guide property owners in BeltLine neighborhoods through the appeal process. Join us on Tuesday, June 29 at 6:00 p.m. for a free virtual information session designed to help you understand your property tax statement and the options available if you want to appeal.
If you decide to appeal and would like assistance, we will be scheduling individual virtual consultation sessions to help you through the appeal process. Information on how to register for these consultations will be provided at the information session.
This workshop is part of the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership’s 2021 Home Empowerment Workshop series. Thanks to Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and The Annie E. Casey Foundation for their support of our 2021 workshops.
