How to Spend Winter on the Atlanta Beltline

Twinkling lights, seasonal events and cozy fireside hangouts make winter one of the most enchanting times to experience the Beltline.

    DECEMBER 17, 2025

When the temperatures drop and the days get shorter, it’s tempting to hibernate until spring. But winter along the corridor is still a festive and activity-packed time of the year.

Here are some must-try experiences to brighten your season.

Stop by a holiday pop-up like Yeppa’s Apres Ski Lodge or Rreal Tacos (Eastside Trail), Caribbean Christmas at La Semilla (Southeast Trail), How The Grinch Stole 7th House (Southwest Trail) or Westside Motor Lounge Sleigh Ride (Westside Beltline Connector). Most run through the end of December.

Go ice skating at Park Tavern on the Northeast Trail through February 16 or on the Ponce City Market rooftop on the Eastside Trail until February 15.

Attend a holiday movie night at the Krog District (Eastside Trail), Side Saddle Wine Saloon (Southside Trail), or Monday Night Brewing- the Grove (Northwest Trail).

Sit by the fire at the Old Fourth Ward plaza just off the Eastside Trail or try the new winter comfort food menu at Breaker Breaker, which has transformed into Long Haul Lounge, on the Southeast Trail through February.

Attend seasonal events like SANTLANTA at CreateATL on the Southwest Trail, or the Atlanta Freedom Bands' "Holidays on Peachtree Street" concert and SantaCon in Little Five Points—both off the Eastside Trail.

View Garden Lights, Holiday Nights at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens off the Northeast Trail before they end on January 11 or Illuminights at Zoo Atlanta near the Southside Trail through January 18.

Visit one of the many new businesses that opened in December, like Lewis BBQ (Northeast Trail) and the Westwood (Westside Trail).
