FEBRUARY 09, 2026

As the Atlanta Beltline connects neighborhoods around the city, it also links residents to some of Atlanta’s most vibrant business and retail districts. This Valentine’s Day, we’re showing extra love to our Beltline-adjacent commercial districts—and inviting you to do the same.

Whether you’re planning a romantic date night, a Galentine’s outing, or a self-love shopping spree, these districts offer something special for every kind of celebration.

From polished storefronts to cozy corners, Buckhead is a go-to for elevated experiences. For date nights, choose from locally-owned bistros like Cafe Sunflower to serene dining such as Starfish Restaurant. Treat your Valentine (or yourself!) to fashion, beauty, and lifestyle finds from local boutiques and well-known retailers.

Rooted in community and culture, the Flats at Westview are accessible via the Ralph David Abernathy Blvd access point on the Westside Trail. Enjoy comfort food with your sweetheart at The Westwood or smoky goodness from BBQ 56. Pick up unique gifts and support local entrepreneurs at neighborhood pop-ups and creative spaces nearby.

Eclectic, edgy, and endlessly fun—Little 5 Points is ideal for couples who love to keep things unconventional. Catch live music, dig through vinyl at Criminal Records, and shop vintage at Psycho Sisters or Junkman’s Daughter to find quirky gifts you won’t find anywhere else. Don’t miss the annual heart mural unveiling on Valentine’s Day behind Savage Pizza and join them after for Love in Little 5.

A vibrant, mixed-use area with a thriving culinary scene, Old Fourth Ward is packed with Valentine’s energy. Try new dining with skyline views at Azara or neighborhood gems like A Mano, then grab cocktails with your girls at Close Company, Burle’s, or Moonlight. Shop for thoughtful gifts at 3 Parks Wine Shop or explore local retail sprinkled throughout the neighborhood.

  • South and Southwest Atlanta: Southside & Southwest Trail

Spanning historic neighborhoods like Peoplestown and Capital View, these areas are rich in culture, creativity, and community pride. Grab a coffee from Urban Grind’s Brew Box at Pittsburgh Yards, support legacy businesses and emerging entrepreneurs making an impact at Terminal South, and discover local eateries and cafes like Sammy’s or 7th House in Adair Park.

Nestled along the Northeast Beltline Trail, Piedmont Heights blends convenience with charm. Pair a walk or bike ride with a date night at Grana, casual meal at Lewis Barbecue, or drinks at nearby gathering spots. Explore neighborhood businesses offering wellness, food, and lifestyle essentials.

  • Sweet Auburn and the MLK Historic District: Eastside Trail

One of Atlanta’s most historic corridors, Sweet Auburn is full of meaning and flavor. Explore historic sites before enjoying a memorable meal at Staplehouse, and pick up gifts that celebrate Black history, culture, and local creativity. Adventure just outside the Beltline Planning Area to visit Sweet Auburn’s Municipal Market, and consider joining Unexpected Atlanta’s Historic Market Food Tour + Biscuit Class.

Trendy yet approachable, the Upper Westside is perfect for modern Valentine’s plans. The Spur Trail connects you from the Westside Trail to the Works for chef-driven restaurants, breweries, and dessert spots, along with stylish local shops with plenty of home goods, fashion, and specialty items to choose from. On February 12, Taste Wine Bar is hosting a fun, laid-back Galentine’s wine party.

Charming streets and a village feel make VaHi a classic Valentine’s destination. Enjoy a romantic dinner at Murphy’s or La Tavola, followed by cocktails at Highland Tap or gelato at Paolo’s. Browse boutiques and gift shops ideal for thoughtful, last-minute finds.

Historic, creative, and community-driven, West End offers a soulful Valentine’s experience. Grab a warm beverage at Portrait Coffee, hang out at beloved local breweries like Wild Heaven and Hop City, explore arts-focused spaces and museums like Hammond's House or the Wren's Nest, and support Black-owned and legacy businesses with gifts that tell a story and reflect the area’s roots.
