Embracing dry January, but still want to hit the Beltline for some social time? You’re in luck! There are plenty of delicious, zero-proof options to enjoy along the way.
Here’s a roundup of some of our favorite spots to grab mocktails, sip, socialize, and explore.
Eastside Trail
Buena Vida Tapas Bar: Sip on the Mango Tango (mango, lime, sour mix, agave), an Italian Spritz with burnt orange simple syrup and lemon juice, or the Paradise, a bright mix of strawberry, lime, and pineapple, at this Spanish-style tapas restaurant with an extensive patio.
Close Company: Acclaimed for its creative drinks, Close Company offers zero-proof versions that feel just as elevated, including the Dangerous Rickey (n/a gin, celery cordial, garden herb tonic), Chennai Cobbler (n/a vermouth, mango, yogurt), Pink Flamingo (notas de agave, n/a aperitif, watermelon), and several “Phony Negroni” options. The recently opened spot also offers fun snacks, including made-in-house pastry pockets.
Lingering Shade Social Club: At this Eastside Trail spot, you can try the Mango Tango made with mango, lime, sour mix, and agave, an Italian Spritz with burnt orange simple syrup and lemon juice, and the Paradise – a mix of strawberry, lime, and pineapple. While you’re sipping, enjoy some people watching around their outdoor fireplace and heaters.
Superica: Dry January celebrators can indulge in Superica’s popular Tex Mex menu, offering everything from breakfast tacos to dinner entrees, with a Tammy’s Margarita or Ginger No-Jito.
Ticonderoga Club: This Michelin-Recommended cocktail spot serves multiple tasty mocktails including the RoseBush, made with pineapple and apple cider vinegar. Once you’re done grabbing drinks, we recommend walking around the rest of Krog Street Market to explore the stalls.
Northeast Trail
Grana: Known for its from-scratch Southern Italian “peasant cooking,” this restaurant focuses on wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas, handmade pastas, meatballs (including signature flights), and family-style dishes, while also offering thoughtful non-alcoholic options such as the Love Bite, a zero-proof Peroni, and a sparkling rosé.
Northside Trail
Boone’s: Enjoy a meal at Boone’s overlooking the Bobby Jones Golf Course along Tanyard Creek while sipping on the zero proof Caddie’s Choice (ginger beer, basil syrup, lime), Fall Swing (pomegranate juice, orange juice, cinnamon, orgeat, soda), or non-alcoholic beer options.
Northwest Trail
Bacchanalia: Celebrated for its seasonal, contemporary American fare, Bacchanalia presents refined multi-course menu crafted with ingredients sourced directly from the owners’ farm, all in an elegant, industrial-chic setting. Try their zero-proof cocktails like the Harvest Moon (FS Bourbon, cinnamon, clove, lemon), Evergreen (bare tequila, rosemary, agave, lime), Lady Grey (pentire adrift, earl grey, lemon), or Rings of Saturn (FS Gin, milano, passion fruit, orgeat, lime) for a sophisticated treat.
Your 3rd Spot: Head to West Midtown to connect, play, and relax at this lively restaurant and social club featuring more than 100 games, elevated small plates, and craft beverages. Zero-proof picks include the So Fresh, So Clean (lemongrass, ginger, pineapple), Hibiscus in Havana (hibiscus tea, lime, mint leaves, aquafaba), Rosemary Blueberry Smash (lemon juice, honey syrup, blueberry syrup, soda water), or a Frozen Blueberry Lemonade.
Southeast Trail
La Semilla: La Semilla offers vibrant, Cuban-inspired vegan dishes that creatively reimagine classic flavors using fresh, seasonal ingredients—along with a selection of non-alcoholic wines to complement your meal.
Vesper: This James Bond–inspired lounge and tapas bar in Atlanta’s Glenwood Park features creative cocktails, tasty small plates, and a chic mid-century modern vibe. Its 00 Proof menu of over 10 alcohol-free drinks makes it a cozy, Dry-January friendly spot for indoor or outdoor relaxation.
Southwest Trail
Cultured South: Located inside Lee + White, Cultured South is Georgia's first kombucha tap room and fermentation marketplace. Order a flight of their refreshing, sparkling teas alongside an expansive food menu.
Westside Trail
Palo Santo: A trendy and stylish modern Mexican restaurant and rooftop lounge, Palo Santo serves wood-fired dishes in a chic, beach-town–inspired space with sweeping city views. Enjoy lively weekend DJs and inventive mocktails like A Night in Madagascar and El Tiro.
Westside Beltline Connector
Westside Motor Lounge: This 3-acre indoor-outdoor venue, repurposed from old auto shops, features a variety of zero proof options along with a restaurant, beer garden, fire pits, live music stages, and games for all ages.
More of a beer person? Brewdog (Eastside Trail), Red’s Beer Garden (Southside Trail), Wild Heaven West End (Southwest Trail), Monday Night Brewing – The Grove (Northwest Trail), are all pouring non-alcoholic options during the month of January.
