Every year, millions of people gather to play the most popular sport in the world: soccer. The Atlanta Chapter of the American Youth Soccer organization, part of the world’s largest soccer club continues to be a hub of camaraderie, sport and family and friends, gathering on the Atlanta Beltline to unite around the pitch and cheer on the young players.

American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) is the world’s largest soccer club. Their Atlanta chapter, AYSO Atlanta provides soccer development and coaching for kids ages 4–13 for the Atlanta community. Their goal is to grow the game through safe, affordable programs that support the overall well-being of each child.

AYSO holds its practices and games at two locations in the city center, including Boulevard Crossing Park in the Chosewood Park neighborhood. Located right next to the future Atlanta Beltline Southside Trail. This park is a hub not just for soccer but for family and neighborhood connections.

“It's going to be super exciting because as you think of how Beltline will connect Boulevard Crossing Park to businesses around where parents and families can go and grab a slice of pizza or go get coffee right after the game. I find this exciting family time opportunity that Beltline is creating for Atlanta.” Said Vlad Robynovitch, Regional Commissioner, AYSO Atlanta

The plans for the expansion of Boulevard Crossing Park, from two regulation-sized fields to a 25-acre park, isn’t just about adding more space, it’s about creating opportunities. With the Beltline running alongside the park, families from surrounding neighborhoods will have easier, safer access to youth soccer and community events. The growth of Boulevard Crossing means more fields for play, more room for connection, and a deeper sense of belonging for everyone involved. As the park evolves, it’s to become a true gathering place, where soccer is just the beginning of what brings people together.
