Washington Park Jamboree Unites Atlanta’s Westside for a Day of Music, Food, Wellness, and Community Connection
Family-friendly festival on Sept. 27 features live entertainment, free health resources, and local businesses

The Atlanta Beltline is partnering with The Historic Washington Park Conservancy to host the Washington Park Jamboree on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Washington Park (102 Ollie St NW, Atlanta, GA 30314).
This free community event invites Atlantans to enjoy an afternoon of live entertainment, local food, family and fitness activities and access to essential health and wellness resources.
The Jamboree is about bringing neighbors together to discover local businesses and participate in activities that encourage healthy, active lifestyles.
People can expect fitness classes, on-site medical and resource mobile units, kids' activities, live music, and appearances by local health, wellness, and resource organizations.
"The Washington Park Jamboree exemplifies the power of community,” said Rob Brawner, Executive Director of Atlanta Beltline Partnership. “It’s part of our mission to encourage active lifestyles and provide wellness education. This event strengthens our connections to the neighborhoods around Washington Park, supports local businesses and helps build a healthier, more connected Westside.”
Washington Park holds particular significance as Atlanta's first designated recreational space for African Americans. Created during the segregation era, the park originally featured a swimming pool, dance hall, pavilions and tennis courts, providing a long-awaited sanctuary for leisure and community gatherings.
The neighborhood surrounding the park emerged from the ashes of the Great Atlanta Fire of 1917, developing into one of Atlanta's first planned Black suburbs under the leadership of Heman E. Perry. Washington Park has flourished as a thriving enclave for the city's African American middle class, with homes and institutions crafted by Black architects and builders during an era of systemic barriers.
The Jamboree is intended to celebrate the park and the area’s history. Chick-fil-A, Delta Air Lines and Atlanta City Council District 3 Councilmember Byron Amos are additional sponsors of the event.
“If culture and community were personified, it would be the Washington Park Jamboree. A place of cultural significance, we celebrate not only Washington Park but the community surrounding it,” said Atlanta City Council District 3 Councilmember Byron Amos.
Delta Air Lines’ Tad Hutcheson, Managing Director for Community Engagement, added: “Delta is proud to support the Washington Park Jamboree as part of our ongoing commitment to fostering healthy, vibrant communities across Atlanta. Events like this bring neighbors together, celebrate local culture and promote wellness for families of all ages.”
