AUGUST 19, 2026

ATL Spoke, an autonomous shuttle service pilot, will soon include expanded service to the Atlanta University Center (AUC). As classes resume on August 19, the service expansion creates a convenient travel option between campus and community destinations around Southwest Atlanta.

Launched in June, ATL Spoke is a free autonomous shuttle that is being piloted to provide safe, sustainable, and convenient first- and last-mile connections between Atlanta Beltline and MARTA. With the addition of the AUC, the service strengthens connections between the West End MARTA Station, the Atlanta Beltline Southwest Trail, Lee + White, and one of the city's most vibrant educational communities.

The route expansion is about more than transportation—it's about bringing people closer to the places where they learn, work, gather, and thrive. By making it easier to reach the Atlanta Beltline Trail, transit hubs,  campuses, places of employment, local businesses, and parks, ATL Spoke helps improve access while supporting a more connected and inclusive Atlanta.

The service remains free to ride, operates seven days a week from noon to 10 p.m., and features 100% electric, ADA-accessible shuttles that arrive approximately every 12–15 minutes. Every vehicle includes a trained onboard attendant to assist riders and help ensure a safe, comfortable experience.

We are excited to welcome the Atlanta University Center community aboard and look forward to connecting even more people to the neighborhoods, destinations, and opportunities around the city.
