ATL Spoke is a new autonomous shuttle pilot offering a safe, sustainable, and free transportation option for the community beginning May 2026.
Service at a Glance
Daily schedule: 12:00PM - 10:00PM
Stops
The route includes convenient stops at AUC, West End MARTA, and Lee + White/Beltline. It’s a simple, connected way to reach some of the area’s most popular destinations.
Frequency
The shuttle runs 7 days a week, making it a reliable option no matter the day. With service every 12–15 minutes, you won’t have to wait long to catch a ride. Operating 10 hours a day, it’s designed to fit easily into your daily schedule.
Cost
The best part? It’s completely free. During the 12-month pilot program, you can ride at no cost—no tickets, no fares, no hassle. Just hop on and and you’re on your way.
Rider Capacity
The service operates with a fleet of four vehicles, each carrying up to 19 passengers. Every shuttle is ADA accessible, making it easy and comfortable for everyone to ride. It’s built to be inclusive, convenient, and ready to serve the community.
Where We Go
The ATL Spoke autonomous transit service will run approximately two miles on public streets with the following stops:
West End MARTA: Seamless "last-mile" connection for rail and bus commuters.
Lee + White District: Easy access to the Southwest Trail and local businesses.
AUC Hub: Starting in Fall 2026

Safety First
Your safety is our priority; every ATL Spoke shuttle is equipped with advanced sensor technology and a dedicated onboard attendant to ensure a secure, smooth journey.
Onboard Attendants
Vehicles will always be staffed by an attendant to answer questions, ensure safety, and promote positive user experience. They will be trained as well to manually take over the vehicle in case of unexpected issues.
The Tech
The vehicles are the Karsan Autonomous eJest, upfit with an autonomous vehicle technology array from Adastec, and controlled by Beep’s operations control center.
The automated driving system (ADS), ADASTEC’s flowride.ai, is a SAE Level-4 ADS platform with an advanced sensor suite consisting of radar, LiDAR, GNSS, and camera.
Testing
The vehicle, Karsan’s Autonomous e-JEST, has passed the Federal Transit Administration’s bus testing program and is fully compliant with federal motor vehicle safety and accessibility requirements.
