Whale Aloft

Ryan Mathern | 2015

This whale, normally the color of the cold seas, will be aglow with the colors of a tropical bird or fish. Its translucent skin is lit from within using ribbons of color-shifting LED lights and moving spot lights. It will be powered by solar fed batteries and winch itself into place under a bridge.
