The Textile Tagger | 2014

The Textile Tagger, by yarnbombing elements of the Atlanta Beltline, is beautifying the environment one stitch at a time. Taking ordinary objects and transforming them into something unique that all ages and walks of life can appreciate, the Textile Tagger's work evokes a smile on each and every face.

About the Artist

The Textile Tagger

Kristin Harris Wolfe is Key Accounts Manager for Justin David Textiles, and lives in Scottsdale, Arizona. This "Textile Tagger" breathes new life into ordinary outdoor objects by using brightly colored spools of crocheted yarn to create this very unique form of temporary public art called "Yarnbombing". She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin in Textile Design and Manufacturing circa 1996. Growing up in the 80's/90's, her biggest influence for yarn bombing is her love of bright neon colors, and the urban graffiti look and hip hop culture.  She came across her first yarn bomb sighting in March of 2011, and the rest is history.
