Steel Flowers
Christopher Bivins | 2012
This piece is originally organized in an array, the width of the railroad tracks, its colors partly informed by the colors of the railroads that once operated here and the signs that once guided its users. Hammered into the earth, the installation recalls the sounds present at the railroad's creation, the labor of the men and women who made their livelihoods here.
