Nick "Tubro" Benson | 2026

Next Stop is a love letter to our city, a celebration of the life of Cameron M. Alexander, and a tribute to everyday Atlantans from all walks of life.

Set inside an imagined train car, the mural follows a diverse group of passengers traveling together through a shared moment, each carrying their own story while moving toward the next chapter of their lives. With this mural, the goal is to transform this bridge corridor of the Westside Connector into a trip through the city itself, giving viewers the feeling that they are along for the ride.

Throughout the piece, subtle visual references and Easter eggs honor Alexander's life of service and compassion while remaining accessible to viewers who might not be familiar with his story. More than a portrait of one individual, Next Stop examines the connections that exist between strangers sharing a journey together.
