During the day, a rain shower hangs frozen in time beneath the underpass while at night, the cascade of fibers sway and activate a suspended phosphorescent canopy, tracing lingering light trails overhead.

About the Artist

Helena Kang

Hailing from Michigan, Helena is a designer/fabricator currently working under Tristan Al-Haddad of Formations Studio in Atlanta, GA. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Architectures from the University of Michigan. Helena has taken on the design/fab role on projects exhibited in Michigan, Georgia, and the Venice Biennale of Architecture. Her prior professional experiences include architectural design positions in Guangzhou, China and New York City. She is interested in exploring architecture as environment beyond physically constructed boundaries.
