Born and raised in Indonesia, Cherry is a seasoned mural artist based in Atlanta, Georgia. She is an avid traveler, living abroad in Shanghai and London before coming to United States. Inspired by her love and admiration for animals and the detailed patterns that you often see from Indonesian batik, she combines traditional and digital media to create the finished work. She is currently pursuing her MFA in Illustration from Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta.

One in a series that addresses and represents endangered species from around the world, the intent of this imagery is to create awareness of pervasive environmental problems, including pollution and climate change that affect us all. This mural was painted as part of Beltline Walls, Vol. 2 and festival on August 4, 2019 on the interim Northeast Trail where it passes under I-85.
