Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. (ABI) is conducting a Southside Industrial Land Use Analysis along University Avenue between Metropolitan Parkway on the west and McDonough Boulevard on the east. ABI selected Nickel Works Consulting through a procurement process to execute the study.

The objective of this study is to assess the viability of industrial land from a variety of perspectives including land use, job/business attraction and employment retention. The area to be studied consists of properties along the University Ave SW, Lakewood Ave SE and McDonough Blvd SE corridors.

The goal of the study is to perform three (3) objectives which are outlined below:

• Opportunity Analysis
  Build an industrial property inventory and review prior urban planning recommendations for the geography.
• Community Engagement
  Gain insight from stakeholder groups to understand community needs and desires regarding land use, job attraction and employment retention/attraction.
• Development Strategy
  Recommend a strategy for planning, promoting and implementing future development.
