Atlanta BeltLine Partnership Hosts Free Homeowner Workshop to Standing Room Only Crowd

Two Remaining Workshops Have Reached Capacity

A group of close to 40 met at the Southwest Atlanta Community Empowerment Center in Capitol View on Monday, October 17 to attend the first of three free homeowner education workshops hosted by the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership.  The workshops are designed to ensure that existing homeowners in Atlanta BeltLine neighborhoods are equipped to take advantage of available resources to stay in their homes or knowledgeably evaluate opportunities if they are considering selling.

Monday’s workshop was led by Tia McCoy, a consultant and trainer with HomePlace Consulting. McCoy was joined by additional presenters specializing in areas like homeowners’ insurance, available tax exemptions and credits, and reverse mortgages.

“Creating and preserving mixed-income communities is core to the Atlanta BeltLine vision,” said Atlanta BeltLine Partnership Executive Director Rob Brawner. “We are delighted to partner with HomePlace Consulting to make these workshops available at no cost to homeowners along the Atlanta BeltLine in southwest Atlanta.”
