Atlanta BeltLine’s Third Quarterly Briefing: Spotlighting Hip Hop’s Influence on Atlanta

Mark your calendars for September 14th and join us for the Atlanta BeltLine’s third Quarterly Briefing, which will focus on celebrating hip hop and the visionary strides of equitable urban development.

The briefing will take place at Union Fit Hub, situated at 828 Ralph McGill Boulevard, NE on the Eastside Trail. For attendees who choose to attend in-person, the doors will open at 5:00 PM, with the main program set to unfold from 5:45 PM to 7:30 PM.

As part of Atlanta’s Hip Hop 50th Anniversary Celebration, the evening will commence with a compelling moderated conversation. Led by noted Atlanta producer Zaytoven, the all-star panel, featuring Phillana Williams, the City’s Director for the Mayor’s Office of Film, Entertainment and Nightlife; Clyde Higgs, President & CEO of Atlanta BeltLine, Inc.; Rachel Jackson, YouTube Artist Relations/Partnership Manager; and Bem Joiner with Atlanta Influences Everything, will explore Atlanta’s enduring hip-hop culture and its intricate connection to the city’s essence.

In addition to the panel, attendees will also hear the latest on the BeltLine’s progress and will have the opportunity to engage in an interactive Q&A session.

Because we’ve nearly reached capacity, we encourage those who haven’t registered yet to secure a virtual spot via this link. The event will also be streamed to Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram.

We look forward to seeing you there, whether in person or virtually, as we come together to celebrate hip hop’s profound impact on Atlanta’s culture and hear the latest on the BeltLine’s  progression.

* Update as of Sept. 14: due to a scheduling conflict, Phillana Williams will be representing the City of Atlanta on the panel in lieu of Mayor Dickens.
