Public Meeting Advisory: Special Service District: Building the BeltLine for All Public Meetings

WHAT: Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. (ABI) will hold a series of public meetings to discuss the recently proposed Special Service District (SSD), how it will benefit communities, and to answer questions from community members. Five Study Group meetings across the ten BeltLine subareas will be held virtually between February and March.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Residents, small business owners, property owners, and all interested parties along the Atlanta BeltLine corridor. While meetings will contain information specific to each Study Group, all are welcome to attend any of the meetings.

ABOUT THE SSD: On January 19, 2021, Atlanta City Council introduced legislation to create a Special Service District (SSD). The creation of the SSD will provide significant funding toward what is needed to complete the Atlanta BeltLine 22-mile multi-use trail loop. A complete loop will lead to more equitable growth in affordable housing, economic growth, jobs for residents, and investment to help communities thrive. Additionally, better connectivity leads to stronger, healthier neighborhoods across the City and helps facilitate Atlanta’s economic recovery from the pandemic.
