WorkSource Atlanta COVID Grant

WorkSource Atlanta has received a grant designed to serve City of Atlanta residents who were impacted by layoffs due to COVID-19 and provide them with an opportunity to participate in their Work Experience (WEx) program.

Funded by the US Department of Labor, the WorkSource Atlanta WEx program provides a subsidized paid work experience, for eligible participants to gain training at a company in a field of experience or potential interest. The WEx assignments would allow the participants to work up to 40 hours per week, and WorkSource Atlanta would pay the participant an hourly wage, up to 16 weeks.

For the next three weeks beginning Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at 2:00 pm COVID Jobs Information Sessions will be held weekly via Zoom and twice per month until all slots are filled. During these sessions, WorkSource Atlanta will discuss the grant in more detail, the customer eligibility process, and the following positions which includes but are not limited to:

  • Call Center Agents
  • Temperature Scanner /Social Distance Monitors
  • Sanitizers /Custodians
  • Contact Tracer
  • Order Fillers/Food Distributors
  • Food Delivery Drivers/Food Stocker
  • PPE Inventory Clerk
