Construction Advisory: Shoring Work for Southside Trail-West at Metropolitan Pkwy Bridge

The general location of the Metropolitan bridge work is labeled on the map
Shoring will take place on either side of the Metropolitan Pkwy bridge

Beginning the week of June 22, construction will ramp up during daytime hours on the Southside Trail-West project near the rail bridge over Metropolitan Pkwy SW between Erin Ave SW and University Ave SW.

Shoring work, which includes pile driving, will be carried out on the east side of the Metropolitan Pkwy bridge for approximately two weeks. Residents and local businesses can expect intermittent construction noise. Once completed there, crews will relocate equipment to the west side of the Metropolitan bridge, where more extensive work is expected to take about six weeks beginning in July. Unforeseen construction or weather delays could impact this timeline.

Pile driving activity will take place during daytime hours as our contractor, Astra Group works to minimize impacts on neighboring residents and businesses.
