Atlanta BeltLine to Host Westside Trail Ribbon Cutting and Community Celebration on September 29

Three-mile corridor will provide mobility and connectivity to Atlanta’s historic southwest neighborhoods

WHAT:
Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. and the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership will host a ribbon cutting and community celebration for the Westside Trail. The Westside Trail will be the first trail to be completed in the Atlanta BeltLine corridor since the Eastside Trail and the longest trail the transportation and redevelopment project has opened to date. Running from University Avenue between the Oakland City and West End MARTA rail stations up to Washington Park, near the Ashby MARTA rail station, the new 14-foot wide multi-use trail features 14 access points, 11 of which that are ADA accessible, and greenway.

The community celebration following the ribbon cutting ceremony will highlight the local businesses on the trail and provide free health and wellness activities for attendees.
