Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. to Present Affordable Housing Opportunities for Potential Homebuyers at Two Community Events

Event #1: Committed to Communities

WHO:  James Alexander, Housing Policy and Development Director for Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. (ABI); Committed to Communities; and Operation HOPE

WHAT: Free information session centered around downpayment assistance programs and affordable housing opportunities to live along the Atlanta BeltLine

WHEN: Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

WHERE: Kipp Strive Academy at 1444 Lucile Ave SW, Atlanta, GA 30310

WHY:  Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. is teaming up with Committed to Communities for an informational event in support of affordable homeownership. Topics will include how to use the Atlanta BeltLine’s downpayment assistance program, the steps to buying a home, and what costs to expect once you own a home. Experts will be on hand to answer questions.

This information session is free and open to the public. All spaces are filled. Media is encouraged to attend to learn more about the affordable housing programs and to speak to James Alexander of ABI.

 

Event #2: Operation HOPE WORKSHOP

WHO: Operation HOPE and James Alexander, Housing Policy and Development Director for ABI

WHAT: A free, all-day homebuyer workshop

WHEN: Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

WHERE: 101 Jackson Street, Atlanta, GA 30312

WHY: Operation HOPE provides education and tools to prepare individuals for homeownership. Experts answer questions on the home buying process to include affordability, loans, financial assistance, credit scores, and much more. ABI will join Operation HOPE during this event from 12 to 12:30 p.m. to present information about ABI’s downpayment assistance program.
