How Do I Get There? Accessing the Atlanta BeltLine from Napoleon Drive in Southwest Atlanta

Please note that the Westside Trail is under construction through the fall of 2017. You will not be able to access the trail at this location until construction is complete. At that time, we will update our access point videos and descriptions.

In southwest Atlanta, the Atlanta BeltLine rail corridor passes under I-20 and Westview Drive (the West End Trail runs alongside the interim hiking trail until it turns west along Westview Drive). Travel east down Westview Drive, turn left on Napoleon Drive, and you will dead-end into the interim hiking trail. The cul-de-sac circles around a grassy island and to the left, you will see a dirt path that dips and then goes up the raised railroad corridor berm and onto the trail.

In the future, a quiet, modern streetcar will operate along this linear greenspace. A concrete walking, running, and biking path will also tie into the West End Trail. From here, you can walk north to Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and beyond that to Washington Park. Walk south and you will pass under Ralph David Abernathy and quickly arrive at the Kroger Citi-Center on Cascade Road. Just beyond that is Gordon White Park.
