Take a ride along the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership’s newest bike tour route. The Northwest BeltLine Trails & Parks Tour highlights newer segments of the Atlanta BeltLine and PATH Foundation trail network and features two of Atlanta’s recently completed green spaces. 

This new route is about 11 miles long and starts and ends in the Westside BeltLine Connector parking lot located at 900 Bedford St. NW, Atlanta, 30318.

Learn about the Atlanta BeltLine project and the historic neighborhoods the trail passes through, including Bankhead, Knight Station/Howell Park, Grove Park, Vine City, and English Avenue. 

The terrain is mostly flat, but there are a few moderate hills on the Proctor Creek Greenway and inside Westside Park. Participants should be at least 13 years of age, have basic biking skills, and have a fitness level that would allow them to complete the tour as described. 

Don’t own a bike (yet)? Bike and helmet rental are available from our bike rental partner, Clutch Bike Shop. For $35 Clutch will bring you bike/helmet to our starting point and pick them up when the tour is over.

For post-tour refreshments, Westside Motor Lounge and the Westside Paper entertainment district are near our endpoint.

What to Expect Day of Tour

Check-In Time

  • 8:30 a.m. for those renting bikes from Clutch Bike Shop, so we have ample time to pair you up with your bike and helmet (we leave promptly at 9 a.m.)
  • 8:45 a.m. for those bringing their own bikes (we leave promptly at 9 a.m.)

Tour Duration

Each tour is approximately 11 miles long with frequent stops. Our groups return to their starting point around 12 p.m.

Departure Location

Westside BeltLine Tour: Meet us in the parking lot of Lee + White, 1020 White St. in West End. We meet in the area between the main building and the new food hall. Look for our Atlanta BeltLine Partnership bike tour banner!

Northwest BeltLine Trail & Park Tour: This new route is about 11 miles long and starts and ends in the Westside BeltLine Connector parking lot located at 900 Bedford St. NW, Atlanta, 30318.

What to Bring

  • A multi-geared bicycle in good working condition, comfortable clothing, a helmet, a full water bottle, and any desired snacks
  • Your completed liability waiver/agreement if you are renting your bike and helmet from Clutch Bycle Shop

Age Restrictions

All participants should be at least 13 years of age (unless in a safety seat attached to an adult participant’s bike).

Bike Rental

For those who want to rent a bicycle, bike and helmet rental is available from our partner Clutch Bicycle Shop. The rental cost is $35 per person. 

Clutch will deliver your rental bike and helmet to the starting location prior to the tour and collect them when the tour is over. Contact Clutch directly at 404-594-4205 for more information or to arrange for your rental. Tell them you’re signing up for an Atlanta BeltLine bike tour.

You must have made and confirmed payment for your reservation directly with Clutch no later than 4 p.m. the day before the tour to ensure a rental on tour morning.

If you’re renting from Clutch, please print out and complete this liability waiver/agreement and bring it with you to the tour.

Cancellation Policy

Atlanta BeltLine Partnership understands that money is valuable, and circumstances arise that can cause a change in plans. We want to work with you however possible. We also forecast our event resource based on an understanding of how many riders we are expecting. Based on these considerations, we have adopted the following refund policy:

  • A refund of the donation is permitted if a participant submits a cancellation request to tours@atlblp.org by 5 p.m. on the THURSDAY BEFORE THE EVENT.
  • A participant can transfer an existing registration (instead of cancellation) by contacting tours@atlblp.org by 5 p.m. on the THURSDAY BEFORE THE EVENT.

For inclement weather cancellation, event participants can request a refund of the donation.


What level of cycling proficiency is needed to participate in this tour?

Participants should be at least 13 years of age, have basic biking skills, knowledge, and etiquette along with have a fitness level that would allow them to complete the tour as described (11-mile trip with several stops over relatively flat terrain (there are a few small hills).

What should I bring/wear?

Riders should bring a multi-gear bicycle in good working condition, wear comfortable clothing and shoes, wear a helmet, and bring along a water bottle and any snacks you’d like during the tour.

As a reminder, helmets are required by law for participants 16 years of age or under, and we strongly encourage all participants to wear a helmet.

What if I can’t afford the $10 donation fee?

We want to ensure everyone has the opportunity to experience and explore the Atlanta BeltLine. If you want to participate but interested in scholarship assistance, please reach out to us at info@atlblp.org.

I don’t have a bike. Can I rent one?

Bike and helmet rentals are available from our bike rental partner, Clutch Bike Shop. They will deliver your rental bike and helmet to starting location before the tour and collect them when the tour is over.

All the reservations are full. Is there a waiting list?

Yes, the registration system we use will allow you to put your name on a waiting list if there is no room left when you try to register.

Where does the tour meet? Is there parking?

Westside BeltLine Tour: Meet in the parking lot of the Lee + White, 1020 White St. in West End near the West End wall mural at the north end of the parking lot. Ample free parking is available. 

Northwest BeltLine Trail & Park Tour: We meet at the Westside BeltLine Connector parking lot located at 11 Joseph E. Lowery Blvd. NW. If the lot is full, there is street parking on adjacent Bedford St.



Is this a rain-or-shine ride?

If inclement weather (rain and/or thunder and lightning) is forecast for your time, you will receive notice of tour cancellation from your tour guide no later than 7:30 a.m. on the morning of the tour. In most cases, we will make that call the evening before the tour and send the cancellation notice out at that time.
