Enota Park Design
An 8-acre Park Where the Goats Once Roamed
Expanding on the 1/3-acre Enota Place Playlot, Enota Park will be an 8-acre park on the Atlanta BeltLine's Westside Trail. In winter 2016/2017, goats were brought to the park to clear invasive plant species.
In 2017, Pond Engineering was contracted to lead the design process for Enota Park, with community engagement beginning in early 2018. The expanded park will be bounded by Interstate 20 to the north, the Westside Trail to the east, Lucile Avenue to the south, and Enota Place to the west. The project is being developed through collaboration between Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. and the City of Atlanta. Trees Atlanta manages the Greet the Goats program, an adorable way for hungry goats to clear invasive species in various greenspaces around Atlanta.
