Play Day at Boulevard Crossing Park

The Atlanta BeltLine Partnership (ABP) hosted its final Play Day of 2017 on Saturday, September 30 at Boulevard Crossing Park in Chosewood Park. Boulevard Crossing Park opened in the fall of 2011 and sits on the southern edge of the Atlanta BeltLine corridor. This is the third time the park has hosted an Atlanta BeltLine Play Day.

The free event took place on a sunny, early fall afternoon. The day was packed with fun for the entire family with trained coaches providing instruction to children of all ages across a variety of sports and fitness activities, including soccer, lacrosse, flag football, golf, kickball, dodge ball, rugby, and ultimate. Attendees could also participate in dance and fitness classes and more.

There were lots of fitness activity choices for kids of all ages at Boulevard Crossing Play Day.

Play Day was a great place to get your hula-hoop on – and many did!

Thanks to the folks from Clif Bar & Company for supporting our Boulevard Crossing Play Day!

Play Days are presented in partnership with Atlanta ContactPoint, a non-profit established to engage children and adults through the power of play. Watch our website for information later this year about our schedule of Play Days for 2018.

Tug-of-war is always a popular activity at Play Day…

…but this little guy needs some help!!

Who had it tougher…this young man trying to get the ball past three goalies…?

…or this young man who had to get it past ABP Exec. Dir. Rob Brawner?

As always, dodgeball was a huge hit.

Golf anyone?

At the end of the day, though, it was all about the kids having a great time:
