The Atlanta BeltLine Partnership works with experts in our community to conduct workshops designed to help lower-income and legacy residents of Westside and Southside Atlanta BeltLine neighborhoods understand the tools and resources available to them to remain in their homes.

Strategic partners include: Atlanta Community TooBank, Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, Atlanta Land Trust, Atlanta Legal Aid, Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation, the City of Atlanta, Grove Park Foundation, and House Proud.

First Time Self Employed Home Buyer Workshop

On November 9, 2022, The Atlanta Beltline Partnership and PNC Bank partnered for a free, virtual workshop to help first-time homebuyers who are self-employed learn about the process. Representatives from PNC Bank helped participants to:

  • Determine if now is the right time to buy
  • Understand the purchase process
  • Understand your credit
  • Estimate your income and how it impacts loan approval

With mounting concerns that revitalization could drive up home appraisals, property appreciation, and higher property taxes, the Legacy Resident Retention Program is a resource for current homeowners to cover the cost of increases in property taxes to prevent displacement. It operates as a grant and does not require participants to pay back any funds received.
