Get ready to set your calendar for four days of arts and entertainment August 8-11 with the first annual Art.Movement.Film.Music (A.M.F.M.) Summer Fest.
The events are part of the 2018 Art on the Atlanta BeltLine exhibition and will take place on the Westside Trail near Allene Avenue in Atlanta. The A.M.F.M. Summer Fest will include art displays, pop-ups, musical acts, a speaker series, food trucks, art for sale, and much more. It will be co-hosted by The Bakery, The National Black Arts Festival’s NextGen Artist Program, and ARTlanta Gallery. The festival will celebrate a season of art and entertainment in southwest Atlanta. Each day will begin with a free movement class or demonstration, followed by panel discussions on a range of topics related to public art. Evenings will feature screenings focused on emerging filmmakers. They will be capped-off by the BeltLine After Dark concert series, which is reserved for the over-21 crowd.
Opening day will also include workshops and panels aimed at emerging and established artists looking to propose and place their work on the Atlanta BeltLine. There will be evening performances by Bent Frequency and the Atlanta Opera. On Thursday, the SWATL Oral History Project opens, followed by Halla, Soul Food Cypher, and Morph. On Friday, you’re invited to join us for the Hundo Show, an art sale featuring local artists whose work is priced below $100.
The final day of the festival will be jam-packed with the Atlanta Indie Market, an artist meet and greet, and a fashion show presented by the National Black Arts Festival and ARTlanta Gallery. Stay tuned for the announcement of a featured keynote speaker on Saturday.

The Bakery is a new creative warehouse located in Southwest Atlanta. About The NextGen Artists Program
The NBAF NextGen Artists Program is a new signature program for young artists that identifies and recognizes the next generation of talented artists and supports them in the early stages of finding and developing their creative voices and in establishing themselves as professionals.
