Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Announces Free Performance in Historic Fourth Ward Park Amphitheater on May 10

ATLANTA – The Grammy® Award-winning Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) will perform in the Historic Fourth Ward Park Amphitheater on May 10 at 7:30 p.m. The performance is free and open to the public.

As a part of the Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. initiative to provide free, accessible art to all Atlantans, the Alliance Theatre and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra are teaming up with the Atlanta BeltLine for performances and programming along the corridor. The Orchestra’s May 10 performance is the first installment of the collaboration, with more programming to be announced in the coming weeks.

Led by ASO Assistant Conductor Stephen Mulligan, the program will include Rossini’s Overture to L’italiana in Algeri, Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons featuring Associate Concertmaster Justin Bruns, and Mendelssohn’s “Italian” Symphony. Seating with a direct view of the stage is not guaranteed. Patrons are encouraged to arrive early, as seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

“Performing on the BeltLine is an important development in our mission to be ‘In Concert With Community,’” said ASO Executive Director Jennifer Barlament. “We are honored to be a collaborative partner with such an Atlanta treasure, and we look forward to connecting more Atlantans to the power of live orchestral music.”
