Atlanta BeltLine Partnership Hosts Sixth Annual Atlanta BeltLine Eastside 10K

Run/Walk Presented by Delta Air Lines to Showcase Eastside Trail, Neighborhoods

The Atlanta BeltLine Partnership and Presenting Sponsor Delta Air Lines invite runners of all fitness levels to participate in the sixth annual Atlanta BeltLine Eastside 10K on Saturday, December 3rd beginning at 9:30 a.m. The race starts and ends at Stoveworks at the corner of Krog and Irwin Streets and showcases the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail. Participants will pass through the historic neighborhoods of Old Fourth Ward, Inman Park, Poncey Highland, Virginia-Highland and Midtown during the race.

Medals will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers. There will also be awards for the top three male and female finishers in each age category. Participants are encouraged to join or register as a team, as awards will be presented to the largest, fastest and top fundraising teams and to the top individual fundraiser. The Eastside 10K is a Peachtree Road Race qualifier.

Additional race day activities include a pet adoption event co-sponsored by the Atlanta Humane Society and Merial Pharmaceuticals, and a Tailgate Challenge in which local college alumni clubs will compete for prizes to see which group is the most spirited. The Atlanta BeltLine Eastside 10K is part of the 2016 Run.Walk.Go! Race Series, which provides opportunities for people to explore different Atlanta BeltLine trail segments while staying active. Race proceeds benefit the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership, the nonprofit organization charged with raising funds and building broad-based support for the Atlanta BeltLine project. Joining Presenting Sponsor Delta Air Lines in supporting the race are major Run.Walk.Go!
