The Atlanta BeltLine
Where Atlanta Comes Together. Learn more
On January 25, 2016, the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership announced a campaign to raise $1.1M for lighting on the popular Eastside Trail, a 2.3-mile segment that connects Piedmont Park to Krog Street Market. The campaign, titled Light the Line, is the latest in a series of fundraising initiatives to support the development of the Atlanta BeltLine. Light the Line is the first crowd-funding capital campaign launched by The Partnership.
Atlanta BeltLine, Inc., the agency charged with building the 22-mile loop of parks, trails and transit, has designed a lighting plan that calls for 130 low-energy LED path lights every 90-feet apart along the trail. Funding for lighting will be built into the budget for future Atlanta BeltLine trail segments.
The Atlanta BeltLine Partnership will host a microsite with an online giving platform and campaign details, develop and deliver collateral, and provide toolkits to supporters looking to get more involved. The goal is to encourage broad support from the surrounding neighborhoods, businesses, organizations and individuals and reach goal by April 30th. Visit the website at lighttheline.org for more information or to make donations.
