Atlanta BeltLine Lantern Parade Workshop – Globe Lanterns

September 15, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

This lantern workshop is hosted by Chantelle Rytter and Krewe of the Grateful Gluttons in support of the Atlanta BeltLine Lantern Parade on September 21, 2019! It’s our 10th year! The lantern parade is a creative community collaboration, and your participation is what makes the magic! Please read parade details about this year’s parade here.

Globe lanterns are the easiest lantern to make! We are tricking out paper globe lanterns with colored paper, glue, and marker. You can easily finish your globe lantern in an hour or you can luxuriate with fabulous details! Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. It is best for kids who have mastered scissors, approximately 7 and up. All materials, light, and batteries included. Tickets are $30 per lantern and can be purchased here. Tickets help fund the parade and are non-refundable. Please do your best to be on time to enjoy the introduction.

Take a look at the Lantern Workshop Gallery and get some ideas!

We strongly suggest you walk, bike or take ride share to the workshop. The Atlanta BeltLine Center can be accessed directly off the Eastside Trail just south of Irwin St. If you’re driving to the Center, limited parking is available at Stoveworks and at the Alexan on Krog. Paid parking is available at the gravel lot at the corner of Irwin and Krog Streets. Street parking is also available on Auburn Ave. near Studioplex.
