Chief Operating Officer
The Chief Operating Officer will work in partnership with the President and CEO to ensure the successful implementation of the Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. five year strategic work plan. In concert with the CEO, the COO will oversee ABI’s senior leadership responsible for Real Estate, Design, Construction, and project tracking. This will enable the President/CEO to focus externally on alliance partnerships, strategic opportunities, resource development, and relationships with board members, trustees, and prospective donors and investors. Under the President/CEO’s direction, the COO will be responsible for keeping the ABI Board of Directors and the Mayor and City Council of the City of Atlanta well informed of the status of implementation of the BeltLine project. The Chief Operating Officer will manage and well-execute complex financial and operating plans, spearhead development of policies and guiding principles, anticipate and/or resolve challenges and issues, respond to community and stakeholder feedback and considerations, and work closely with counterparts within the City of Atlanta and other partners to coordinate and advance all BeltLine activities. The position reports directly to the President and CEO.
Director of CommunicationThe Director of Communication oversees all aspects of communications and media relations, website creation and support, and external affairs for Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. This position will complement and supplement BeltLine Partnership’s marketing, fund development and advocacy activities, and work closely with counterparts within the City of Atlanta and other partners to advance the overall communications objectives supporting BeltLine visibility and implementation. The successful candidate will be an energetic, creative, and highly effective communicator with proven media relations skills and ability to think strategically, generate quality communications deliverables such as ensuring that newspapers are published, speeches and presentations are written and effectively delivered. This candidate must be able to develop and disseminate key messages in a complex, fast-paced organizational context. This position reports directly to the President & Chief Executive Officer.
The Director of Community Engagement will be responsible for building awareness and engagement among Atlanta residents, communicating with the community about current BeltLine issues, ensuring the active and meaningful participation of the community on matters related to the BeltLine, and providing substantive information and responses to community concerns, issues, and inquiries to Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. and related partners and organizations. The Director serves as the primary director of community-related activities, including the implementation of the citizen engagement framework for the BeltLine. In that role, the Director of Community Engagement will act as advisor and as a resource both to the organization and to community members in guaranteeing robust citizen engagement in BeltLine implementation. The position reports directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer.
Director of Government Affairs
The Director of Government Affairs plays a critical role in devising and driving the governmental relations strategy for Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. at the federal, state and local levels to ensure and expand funding, regulatory, and political support for the BeltLine project. This position will report directly to the President & Chief Executive Officer and will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Communications staff and advocacy partners in executing the ABI’s policy strategy. The Director of Government Affairs will coordinate the policy strategy with key stakeholders including the City of Atlanta’s Director of Communication and private sector partners such as the BeltLine Partnership and Atlanta Committee for Progress member corporations.
