Signage and Wayfinding is Coming Soon!

Many of you may know that the Atlanta BeltLine has been working on a comprehensive signage & wayfinding program. We are ready to roll out our prototypes! At the Eastside Trail near the Freedom Parkway and Elizabeth Street access points (see map below), prototype signage will be installed to test the material durability and visibility. The prototype signage, rendered in the drawings below, will be made of corten steel with porcelain enamel panels.

The signage tested will be for directional and location identification purposes, but the final program will incorporate signage to indicate trail rules and regulations, maps, events, and other information. The signage will be tested for a period of 2-3 months and will be the same signage eventually built into the Atlanta BeltLine’s entire 22-mile corridor.

The directional, ID, and regulation signage is Phase I of the program. Phase II will incorporate historical signage unique to each area surrounding the Atlanta BeltLine. Watch for opportunities to engage with us to shape the signage content in your neighborhood!
