Historic Fourth Ward Park Wins ‘Project of the Year’ from ULI Atlanta

On Thursday, September 12, ULI Atlanta bestowed two great honors on Historic Fourth Ward Park, the “Award for Excellence” and “Project of the Year.” The last time ULI Atlanta gave the “Project of the Year” award was 2009. Historic Fourth Ward Park has received several awards since opening in the spring of 2011, but more important, it has brought an entire section of the Old Fourth Ward to life and sparked roughly $400 million in new private development and more than 1,000 new units of housing within one block of its perimeter.

The Historic Fourth Ward Park Conservancy, which nominated the park for the ULI Award for Excellence, shot the footage for this “home video” that ULI put together which tells the story of how the park became a reality.

We are thankful for all of the incredible partners who made Historic Fourth Ward Park a reality and continue to make it a great place in Atlanta.
