How Do I Get There? Accessing the Atlanta BeltLine from Donnelly Avenue and Peeples Street

Please note that the Westside Trail is under construction through the fall of 2017. You will not be able to access the trail at this location until construction is complete. At that time, we will update our access point videos and descriptions.

From Donnelly Avenue, look for the gravel path in between two properties that leads to the interim hiking trail.

From Donnelly Avenue, a wide, bungalow-lined street in Oakland City, you can access the Atlanta BeltLine’s interim hiking trail via a small easement in between two properties. Across the street to the south is Peeples Street (historically divided by the railroad tracks) and to the southeast, down Donnelly Avenue, is Lee Street and the MARTA line.

Walk down the gravel path and you’ll find yourself on the Atlanta BeltLine corridor behind what we call “Warehouse Row.” If you walk to the northwest, you will reach Gordon White Park and the Kroger Citi-Center. On the other side of shrubs and the long row of warehouses is our West End Trail – a 2.4 mile stretch of paved path that initially opened in 2008. To the southeast, you can walk to Adair Park and our urban farm. The photo in the left-hand column shows a view of the hiking trail as it passes under Lawton Avenue.
